ABOUT MEGAN
Meet Megan Matulis - the acupuncturist in Spokane & Spokane Valley for fertility, periods, pregnancy, and postpartum.
Megan Matulis
Licensed Acupuncturist, Acupuncture and Eastern Medicine Practitioner
My healing passion lies in using Eastern Medicine to treat female reproductive health conditions, and my experience as an acupuncturist and Licensed Massage Therapist have given me a unique perspective in treating a diverse array of pain management conditions.
I am passionate about working with obstetric and gynecological concerns, including acupuncture during pregnancy, perinatal care, acupuncture for periods, PMS, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), menopause & hormonal regulation. Additionally, I have a special interest in providing exemplary care to people throughout their fertility journey, for patients seeking support while trying to become pregnant and continuing their care through all stages of pregnancy and postpartum.
For patients looking for assistance with pain management conditions, I enjoy using trigger point release techniques (dry needling) paired with acupuncture channel theory to address pain, including treating headaches, acute injuries, and chronic pain conditions.
Megan's Story
Having had a lifelong interest in natural healing modalities, I became a Licensed Massage Therapist so I could learn more about the body and begin my career as a healthcare provider. As I worked with patients, I began to realize that pain and musculoskeletal conditions were often more deeply rooted and complex than could be addressed by massage therapy alone. I often felt limited by my scope of practice and wanted to expand my role as a healthcare provider.
After personally experiencing positive results as an acupuncture patient, I decided to pursue a career as an Acupuncture and Eastern Medicine Practitioner. This profession has allowed me to work towards addressing the root of complex conditions rather than focusing on the symptoms alone. As a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist with clinical experience treating patients in multiple settings, I am a capable practitioner who finds fulfillment in working one on one with patients to understand and address their unique needs.
Qualifications
After working as a Licensed massage therapist for over 10 years, I earned a dual Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine from Bastyr University. I am a board certified Acupuncturist & Chinese herbalist, and have additional training and experience with acupuncture for fertility and pregnancy.
